“Who are you?”
Perfect Blue is a psycho-suspense film that was released in theaters in 1998 and was the directorial debut of Satoshi Kon, known for Paprika, Millennium Actress, and Tokyo Godfathers. It was a novel of the same name by Yoshikazu Takeuchi and was animated by Madhouse.
This world-famous masterpiece depicts the “dissociation between the image of oneself and others,” a theme that has become vividly relevant to ordinary people over the years.
The soundtrack, which allows you to relive the main story where fiction and reality blend together, is a mix of bright and refreshing idol pop and the unsettling music of Masahiro Ikumi, and is now available again in a newly remastered version.
