Media Molecule’s LittleBigPlanet was, and remains, dramatically ahead of its time. A puzzle platformer that emphasized user-generated content and cooperative play, LittleBigPlanet embodied a spirit of player-driven creativity that has come to define the current generation of smash-hit games.

Perhaps the most impressive thing about LittleBigPlanet was the way it managed to make such a big, robust gameplay concept feel so dang cozy and warm. Its textile-inspired textures and dulcet narration, courtesy of Stephen Fry, granted the game an
unmistakable crafty charm. Creation, it seemed to insist, should be
satisfying, uncomplicated, and fun. 

That spirit is alive and well in the game’s unforgettable soundtrack. Composers Mat Clark and Kenneth C M Young stitched together a soundtrack that draws inspirations from world music, family-friendly nursery rhymes, groovy blended mashups, and beyond. iam8bit has always felt inspired by LittleBigPlanet’s undeniable pizzazz. That’s why we’re pleased as punch to team up with Sony Interactive Entertainment to bring it to vinyl. 

The LittleBigPlanet 2xLP, much like its inspiration’s protagonist, packs a big punch in a little package. On its four sides you’ll find 15 hand-selected tracks from the game, covering a delicious sampling platter of its rich cornucopia of moods. It’s pressed on Earth & Moon Inspired Vinyl, two gorgeous disparate but complementary vinyl shades made to match the all-new album art from Haley bbanditt Wakefield. The illustrations inside celebrate
the collage of muses that make LittleBigPlanet such a joy to experience. The result is an album that’s a true celebration of not just games, but creativity itself.
