The OST for the much awaited collaboration between The Chinese Room and Frictional Games. From the composer of Dear Esther, the Machine for Pigs soundtrack contains 51 tracks of Jessica Curry’s haunting, melancholic sound fused with a disturbed and at times sickening twist.
The year is 1899. Wealthy industrialist Oswald Mandus has returned home from a disastrous expedition to Mexico, which has ended in tragedy. Wracked by fever, haunted by dreams of a dark machine, he recovers consciousness in his own bed, with no idea of how much time has passed since his last memory. As he struggles to his feet, somewhere beneath him, an engine splutters, coughs, roars into life…
Developed by The Chinese Room and published by Frictional Games, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is an indirect sequel to Amnesia The Dark Descent.
Originally released September 10, 2013.
It will bury its snout in your ears and it will eat your heart. And whilst you are pondering the existential horror of man’s inhumanity to man and how something so apocalyptic can simultaneously be so beautiful, you can listen to the haunting music of the Piggies.
